Lifestream BowelBiotics can be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding women. However, it is advisable to seek advice from your doctor on all aspects of nutrition whilst pregnant. One area of caution is with prescription blood thinning agents. If you are on this type of medication, you should consult with your healthcare practitioner before beginning an enzyme regimen. All protein digesting enzymes can irritate existing ulcers and should be avoided by those with stomach or intestinal ulcers. Always read the label and use only as directed. If symptoms persist see your healthcare professional.
