Diamide Capsules 20

Diamide Capsules 20 Diamide capsules contain the active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride. It works by increasing gut transit time so that food takes longer to pass through the gastrointestinal tract. This allows the bowel time to absorb water and produce a more solid stool. Diamide is used to treat patients with sudden (acute) or long-lasting (chronic) diarrhoea.

Dosage:

Usual Adult Dosage: 2 capsules initially, then 1 capsule after each unformed stool. Daily dosage should not exceed 8 Capsules.

The product Diamide Capsules 20 is beneficial for treating diseases which are related to abnormal bowel movements. Even though patients can take this product as per the doctor’s description, there are certain things to keep in mind before taking it. For example in situations where the patient is suffering from constipation, is having a severe form of diarrhea, having blood come out with stools along with fever or facing an infection in the bowel, the patient is advised not to take the Diamide Capsules 20. Also, for the patients who have a specific allergy against any medicine that has loperamide hydrochloride in it, it is highly recommended that they do not use this product. For patients who already have severe medical conditions that include problems in the liver, glaucoma, Aids, or issues related to bowel or urine, should consult the doctor and pharmacists before opting for this medicine. Also, in case of taking other medications, proper consultation with doctors is required before proceeding.

Warnings:

Do not use in children under 12 years, unless directed by a doctor. If you are pregnant or Breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking Diamide. IF diarrhea persists for more than 48 hours, consult your doctor. Contains lactose and is gluten free. Always read the label and use only as directed.
